Carolina Dog
The Carolina Dog, also called the American Dingo or the North American Native Dog, traces its origins in North America up to 9000-6000 BC, possibly being descendant of dogs that came across the land bridge over the Bering Strait with Asians. It was kept by the Native Americans and used as a hunter (probably a sight hound) and herder. It resembles some of the other pariah-type dogs such as the Dingo in Australia and the naturally developed Potcakes in The Bahamas. Currently most of the specimens of this breed are found in the southeastern states of the USA. This is a very rare breed.
