Chart Polski
The Chart Polski also known as the Polish Greyhound, and as the Polnischer Windhund. This Polish sighthound closely resembles the Greyhound, and is probably descended from the Asiatic Greyhound. It is considered a very old breed and was used by nobility to hunt hare, fox, and wolves in the harsh Polish terrain and climate, for hundreds of years. Its numbers were severely decimated during WWII, yet it has made a comeback with the help of a few dedicated breeders and is seen in several European countries, as well as in North America, although in small numbers. It was only recognized by the FCI in 1992.
