Havanese

The Havanese, also known as the Bichon Havanais, dates back to the 1700's where it is believed that it descended from the Bolognese and small Poodles, or from the Maltese. Its country/area of origin is also a double possibility, either the Mediterranean, or Cuba. Either way, its numbers decreased as both of these areas went through revolutions. It is now more common in the United States than in its country of origin, and appears frequently in Europe, and Scandinavia in particular.
