Kerry Blue Terrier
The Kerry Blue Terrier originated in County Kerry, in the southwest part of Ireland during the 1700's to hunt vermin, to herd and guard. It is thought that it traces its ancestry to the Welsh, Bedlington and Soft-Coated Wheaten Terriers. There is also a theory that these dogs descended from dogs that were originally part of the Spanish Armada of 1588.
