Open 24 hours
benches, parking, trashcans; do not park in the loading areas - you wil be cited. Dogs must be leashed until they get to the dogpark. Park is fenced from the bikepath but escapees can find their way out easily. Also bordering dogpark are tidal flats and Bay water - dogs can get wet and muddy. Bring your own fresh water and bowl; baggies and trashcans provided for poop deposit. Dogpark is mostly lawn and gets muddy in the winter.

Hardy Dog Park
Claremont at Hudson (Rockridge District)

Fenced, handicap access, benches, poopbags, parking, lights, water, trashcans; right in an urban residential neighborhood. Small, but full of friendly people and dogs. A vrey active dog owners association is involved with the city to get new landscaping and resurfacing. New friends are always welcome.

Oxnard

Fenced, parking, restrooms; Star Dog Club sets up Agility equipment and runs "fun" competitions with owners. Spoon races, relays, etc. Insurance requirements of Oxnard School District requires attendees to sign waiver and complete "NO COST" membership application in Star Dog Club which pays policy.

Pacific Palisades

Romany Drive (take Amalfi Drive north from Sunset all the way to the top, taking a left at all forks or intersections. Park on Romany, follow the road bearing left, look for the park sign.)
This dog friendly hiking area is private property of dog loving people, so be careful to respect their wishes, and pick up after your dog. And be sure to stick to the trail.

The dog area of this large park is adjacent to the Rose Bowl. Intended for use as a dog-training area: dogs may be off-leash but should be engaged in training exercises;open 6am to 10pm weekdays, 6am to 10am weekends.

On Muirwood
From Stoneridge, take Springdale and turn left onto Muirwood. park is on the left. Benches, poopbags, trees, parking, water, trashcans. The park is all tan bark rather than grass - dusty in the heat but easier for poop cleanup.

other comments = This park is located right on the water. Dogs have a blast running, swimming, retrieving, and romping! Pet grooming shop at the park, weekend coffee/snack bar.

Riverside

Comments: this park is double-gated and has pooper scoopers as well as poop bags. The people and dogs here are very friendly; many tennis balls and frisbees for all to use. City and park users are working on getting lighting. Park is set at the foot of Mt. Rubidous and by the banks of the Santa Ana River - very scenic. Nearby trails (bit dogs must be leashed on trails). Please come down for a 'doggone good time'.
