Features: The oldest dog parks are found at Sandy Creek Park, with the first opening in 1991 named "C. Spot Run." In fact three of the park's Dog Parks were built with donations from the Athens Kennel Club.

This northside county park now boasts a total of four two to three-acre dog parks, three of which are "reservation only" with a $1.00 per hour/per dog fee. Each park has its own water source and upon reservation, each dog owner is given a key to the park and a water bowl. The fourth park is free with no reservation requirement.

Features: Wiggley Field's unique arrangement actually features two dog parks in one. An area is designated for small dogs, while the other section is for large dogs.

The two-acre Wiggley Field offers a double water fountain - a traditional size for humans and a much smaller one for canines.

There is no fee to use Wiggley Field.

Location: 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The park runs along 10th Street (a block west of 10th & Monroe Avenue to a block east of 10th & Piedmont Avenue) and Piedmont Avenue (12th & Piedmont to just before 15th & Piedmont) in midtown Atlanta.
Features: Piedmont Park is a haven for dogs and humans alike! While a City of Atlanta ordinance requires all dogs in public areas to be leashed, Piedmont Dog Park is one of the few locations in metro Atlanta where dogs may run free. This special off-leash area, open since 2002, is one of the most popular features of Piedmont Park.

Permit Information
To secure a permit, residents must provide proof of residency in the form of a tax bill, rent receipt or utility bill and proof of rabies vaccination for each dog. Property owners who are not residents must present a tax bill and proof of rabies vaccination. Citizens will receive a numbered tag for each dog. Tags should be attached to the dog’s collar. It will identify the dog as having a permit for enforcement purposes.

Features: The total area of the dog park is just under three acres, and consists of a small dog area and a larger play area for all dogs. The dog park is a fenced-in area in which dogs are permitted to play without leashes.

The dog park includes grassy areas primarily located on the Colonial Pipeline Easement that runs through Pinckneyville Park and also encompasses some wooded areas for shade.

Also included are two water fountains featuring dog bowls, one of which was donated by Colonial Pipeline and contains a plague commemorating their donation.

The new dog park is an exciting addition to Pinckneyville Park's current features, which include a seven-field baseball/softball complex, concession buildings, restrooms, 1.1-mile paved multi-purpose trail, family pavilion, four playgrounds, roller hockey rink and free-skate area. The park also features the 5,000-square-foot Medlock Pavilion.

Location: From the intersection of Highway 74 and Highway 54 in Peachtree City
Go South on Highway 74. Turn left on Kelly Drive. You will pass the dam for Lake Peachtree and the road will turn into McIntosh Trail. The recreation complex is just past the lake on the right. Turn right into the parking lot. The Dog Park is at the far end of the parking lot.
Features: Our fenced off-leash park is located on two acres in the heart of Peachtree City and is open to Fayette County residents. It has a wood chipped base, trees and a gazebo for shade, and cleared areas for free running of the dogs. There is approximately 1 3/4 acres which is recommended for dogs over 30 pounds, the remaining in a separate fenced in area for small and senior dogs only. We now have a water fountain, but you may want to bring a water bowl.
